It is pretty much a legal requirement to release Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes on a VR device. This is the Oculus Quest version I am looking at today and as someone who has spent hours with this game on other devices. I can tell you right away that the Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes on Oculus Quest is just as great as all of the other versions, making it the ultimate party game for the Oculus Quest.

What makes Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes stand out from the rest of the games on the Oculus Quest right now is that this is made to be played with other people. It is very exciting and the person who is wearing the Oculus Quest is standing in a room that has a bomb in it and they need to deactivate it.

The player in the headset is not on their own, they are part of a bomb disposal unit. You see you have to play this with at least one other person. The people who are not wearing the headset can download the Bomb Defusal Manual on their phone. Or if you want to be more in-depth you can print it all out. This means you only need one copy of the game for everyone to enjoy.

The way a round of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes works is that the person who is wearing the Oculus Quest must describe the bomb to the rest of the team. Then the team needs to look over their Bomb Defusal Manual in order to find the bomb that the Oculus Quest player is talking about. There are many different bombs and they each have their own method for disarming them. So, what works for one, will probably cause the next one to blow up in your face!

You may think that all the fun in Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is for the person who is wearing the Oculus Quest, but that is not the case. It is a lot of fun to be part of the manual squad too. You have to work together to find the solution, but you end up shouting over each other. The game is very tricky as well and sometimes will trick you into thinking the same bomb needs disarming, but it will have a subtle difference.

I know that Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes sounds like a game where there is not much to it, but it really is a great time. It is perfect when you have a few friends round and you guys will be laughing all night as you take turns trying to disarm the bombs. Part of the fun is the strange ways in which some people try and describe what they are seeing.

While it has been released on very headset under the sun. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes on the Oculus Go is still an awesome time. I am not sure that the fully wireless nature of the Quest makes any difference to the gameplay. However, this is still one of the best party games that you can get on the Oculus Quest.

Pros:

It is a lot of fun to play

The asking price is very reasonable

Plenty of bombs to disarm

One of the best VR games to play with other people

You only need one copy of the game

Cons:

No way to play it on your own

You and your friends will be shouting over each other!

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is one of the most fun VR party style games you can play on your Oculus Go. It is one of the games that many people talk about and one of the games that most people feel you have to give a try if you have an Oculus Go.

VR is seen as a solo experience, but Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes shows that VR can also offer as much fun and excitement as a game like Mario Party can. The idea of the game is very simple. The person with the Oculus Go on their head is trapped in a room, not just any room there is a bomb in this room!

Do not worry though as you are part of a bomb disposal unit….. although you do not have a clue how to disarm the bomb. The good news is that the people you are playing with (you need at least one other person to play Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes) have at their hands the Bomb Defusal Manual. Each person who is playing can look at the manual on their smartphone.

So the person with the Oculus Go will have to give the rest of the team the best description of the bomb they possibly can. Then the rest of the team need to frantically look at their Bomb Defusal Manual to try and find the bomb the Oculus Go player is describing…… and there are a ton of bombs! One bomb might blow up if you cut the blue wire, another if you handle it in the wrong way. There are many different bombs in Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes so you never know what one the game is going to throw your way.

No matter if you are the person in the Oculus Go or if you are the person who is frantically trawling through the Bomb Defusal Manual. This is a game that is so much fun to play. Some of the bombs are very, very sneaky in that you think you have disarmed them before, but the guy in the Oculus Go turns the bomb around and then BAM there is something slightly different and what worked before will just blow it up.

Working together is the key here, but most of the time everyone is shouting over each other and then the guy in the Oculus Go ends up blown to smithereens. You can of course switch in and out so you can take turns disarming the bomb and also using the manual.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes on the surface is such a simple game and there is not a great deal to it. However, it is also one of the best party games you can get on your Oculus Go. Plus the fact you can play this with just one copy of the game and also one Oculus Go makes it even better. If you love VR and want a game that allows you to share it with others, you will struggle to top Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.

Pros:

It is a blast (horrible pun intended)

One of the best local multiplayer VR games on the GO

You can play with as many people as you can handle shouting at you

It could not be any more fun

It costs under ten bucks

Cons:

There is no solo player here

You will be sweating buckets by the end of the game
